Hello There!

What better way to celebrate our historic mark of more than 5000 accesses than another update? Yay to double updates! I’ll start today to upload the close up pictures of the models I painted over the course of may which are part of the Ultramarine army I took to the Fork of Mork tournament back in may. The list above illustrates the army composition and tough I’ve been criticized by some because I invested so many points on a single unit (the Marneus Calgar one) I’ve got to say I was pretty satisfied with it (the unit) to regret that decision.

If you read the previous updates here you know the outcome of my enterprise on the Tournament. You’re new here? We’ll I’ll repeat myself then!

My two victories and two defeats were enough to land the “Overall Champion” prize on my hands (after the points accrued in battle were added to those  earned in painting the army) but only secured me a 6th position on the “Best General” competition. I’m not disappointed by it at all but a third place would’ve been great!

Well… shall we move onto them models? If you’ve been here for a while you’ve already been introduced to Brother Captain Valius (haven’t you? So waste no time and check the link mate!) who was the first HQ choice for the army. So what better way to go on than continuing with the compulsory choices?

The troop choices were “Tactical One” and “Tactical Two” pictured above. They were identical apart from the gear carried by each sergeant. While the sergeant from “One” carried a power weapon the sergeant from “Two” who carried a power fist(and who proved himself as a mighty warrior indeed by killing no less than 3 chaos chosen in a gruesome battle again a Chaos army –  the whole unit was “heroic” having fought to the bitter end a bigger unit of chosen with better gear and more attacks, the last turn of the combat ended with the sergeant being downed by the attacks of the remaining two chosen but killing them with his two attacks back).

It’s worth mentioning that all the marines you see on the pictures above were converted to portray the “True Scale” of a space marine, and a number of them sport other suitable convertions. I’ts also important to point out that the two unit transports, Razorbacks if you’re unfamiliar with the game, had their chassis scratchbuilt by a good friend of mine and only received a fez plastic pieces from the Razoback kit from GW.

That’s it for now. More pictures of the army soon so make sure to check back”

Cheers.
