Hello folks!
Another month, another model finished. I’m almost in the end, and reaching this point gives me an extra boost to try harder to finish everything as soon as possible (that, and a few new models in line that I want to work at after I finish this army).
In my last article, I said my former 2000 points list had become a 1901 points list with the new Codex: Space Marines. I had to redo it, but without altering the units that were already done. The modifications were as follows:
The tactical squad that isn’t done yet now has a graviton gun instead of the meltagun. The assault squad has an extra marine (for a total of 6, still needing one to complete that number). The major change was in the devastators, where I completely changed their weapons loadout.
In my last 40k game I was slaughtered by imperial guard Valkyries simply because I had no means to shoot them down and I realized how important is a unit that is able to face this kind of enemy unit (Marcos I owe you a blood debt! Hahaha). Thus, I decided that my devastators will be focused on that. Now there are 4 missile launchers, all of them equipped with flakk missiles. They are still useful to shoot down light and medium tanks, and infantry as well, leaving the function of destroying heavy tanks for this month’s unit and for the Terminators that will be made.
And talking of this month’s model, I’ve assembled my Stormtalon Gunship. Another flyer. It seems to me that in the new edition they are essential for gaming, and I also wanted to add it for my Space Marines collection. As in my Caestus, there isn’t much battle damage on it. As it flies, the shots that hit it should bring it down instead of just opening a hole in the hull that could be fixed later.
It’s an easy model to paint, but you must take some precautions in the assembly order, if you want to detail the interior, if that’s your case it is necessary to paint some bits before assembly, and to assemble the kit in different stages.

This month’s cost was about US$44, a little below the monthly limit. Nice!

Stormtalon Gunship labeled 2/1 was assigned to the second company as air support and has the main goal to fly over the battlefield going for behind the enemy’s rear guard to destroy tanks, artillery and its crew.

Olá pessoal!
Mais um mês, mais um modelo terminado. Estou quase no fim, e chegar a esse ponto dá um gás a mais para me esforçar para terminar tudo o quanto antes (isso, e alguns modelos novos na fila que quero fazer depois de terminar esse exército).
No último artigo, mencionei que a minha lista original de 2000 pontos tornou-se de 1901 com o novo Codex: Space Marines. Refiz a lista, mas sem alterar as unidades que já estavam prontas. As modificações foram as seguintes:
O Tático que ainda falta agora tem uma graviton gun no lugar da meltagun. O Esquadrão de Assalto tem um marine a mais (6 no total, faltando fazer um). A maior mudança foi nos Devastators, onde mudei totalmente o armamento. No meu último jogo de 40K, fui massacrado por valquírias da guarda imperial simplesmente por não ter como abatê-las, e percebi o quanto faz falta uma unidade que seja capaz de enfrentar esse tipo de unidade inimiga (Marcos, dívida de sangue! hahaha). Assim, resolvi que meus Devastators seriam focados nisso. Agora há 4 lança mísseis, com mísseis flakk. Ainda serão úteis para abater veículos leves e médios, assim como infantaria, deixando a função de abater veículos pesados para a unidade deste mês e para os Terminators que ainda serão feitos.
E falando no modelo deste mês, montei meu Stormtalon Gunship. Mais um veículo voador. Parece que na nova edição tornaram-se fundamentais para os jogos, e também quis adicioná-lo à minha coleção de marines. Assim como minha Caestus, não há muitos danos de batalha. Por tratar-se de algo de voa, os tiros que acertarem tendem a derrubar ao invés de deixar algum buraco na fuselagem que possa ser consertado depois.
É um modelo de pintura fácil, mas devem-se tomar alguns cuidados na ordem de montagem, se você quiser fazer o interior detalhado, sendo necessário pintar alguns bits antes de montar, e montar em estágios diferentes.
