Salve Leitor.

Hello there Reader.

One of the great hobby related things I did last year was attending the first “Papo de Mesa CON” (or simply PAPOCON as I like to call it) in Sao Paulo/Brazil.

You may be wondering now what am I talking about as I had never mentioned it here and I do tend to give my readers fair notice about any events I’ll attend in case any of you guys want to join in the fun. If you read this blog regularly you know by now that I’ve started hosting and producing a podcast show with my good friend “Ultra”Marcos (from the “Chumbo, Plastico, Tinta & Pincel” blog) called “Papo de Mesa Podcast” (which would roughly translate as “Tabletop Talk” in the English language), a show produced in Portuguese language (so it might not be of interest to some of my English readers) thus aimed at the gaming communities in Brazil and other Portuguese speaking countries given that very little hobby content is available in our native language.

Hello Reader.

We’ve just published the second part of our podcast about the infamous event in the history of the Warhammer 40.000 universe known as the Horus Heresy.

I apologize in advance as this content is only available in our native tongue, Portuguese, however if you do speak it or at least understand the language I do recommend you check us out.

Hello Reader.

Another quick post to catch up on the published episodes of the Papo de Mesa Podcast while I was away from home.

This time we sit and have a chat about the Horus Heresy so if you speak Portuguese and would like to know more about the great treachery of the Warhammer 40.000 game please do check us out either downloading the episode from the show’s blog or scrolling down to hear it here on the blog.

Hello folks!

We’re almost at the end of the challenge. In my last article, I mentioned some changes that some units had to undergo after the release of the actual Codex Space Marines. This month was dedicated for one of them: The Devastator Squad.

The Box of Devastators was bought some time ago, for the first article of this series. In this box there’s only a single missile launcher, so I needed 3 more in order to complete the squad as I wanted to field it. It wasn’t hard to get the bits for the rest of the unit as each Tactical Squad box also has a missile launcher, and since I already had two of those boxes, I got two more missile launchers from them. The last one I got from the Space Marines set from the old box of the Battle for Macragge, for about US$10,00. It is also from this set that I got the other 5 Space Marines I needed to complete the squad making it a 10 man unit. So, this month’s total cost was only US$10,00.

Hello there Reader.

I was away from home during January as an opportunity presented itself allowing me to travel to the Old World.

In doing so I had limited access to the internet so I wasn’t able to properly usher in the new year (which I did in yesterday’s post) and I also wasn’t able to post the new episodes of the Papo de Mesa Podcast which had been published during the course of that month.

Hello there Reader!

This is my first post here on the blog in 2014 and as I sit here to write this I have thousands of ideas going through my mind for future articles I want to write and share with you here on the blog in this new year, and it’s with that eye on the future that I’d like to take a moment to look into the past.

If you’re a regular reader here on the blog it’s probably no secret to you that the last couple of years have been a little difficult to me when it comes to “real life” issues. Whether professional or familiar issues, the fact remains that a lot of the time I’d put into the hobby and blogging about it and even if I could find the time I sometimes lacked the inspiration (or the “hobby mojo” as I like calling it) to do something worth writing about.
