A tale of “X” Gamers – Space Marines 011.

The end of the “A Tale of X Gamers” project is approaching, at least for me! This month, my chosen unit was one of Terminators. I chose an assault configuration for two reasons, first because I didn’t have a unit like this yet, and also because some old fashioned hard hitting can be fun. I imagine a futuristic scene full of technology and firearms, and suddenly a highly protected enemy armour is opened by brutal hammer blows.

 

I also chose the Terminators because of their ability to enter the game by teleporting in, being deployed behind enemy lines and causing a lot of destruction. And in games where Deep Strike is forbidden, they count with enough protection to withstand the most part of enemy fire unharmed until they get where they’re needed. I used the thunderhammer and stormshield option because I intend to use them to bring down both characters and vehicles.

This month’s cost was around US$75,00. A little over the goal value, but since last month’s cost was zero, that was fine. The largest part of this cost was for the Terminator box, but also to acquire the body of a Legion Praetor from Forge World. This model was heavily converted to fit the arms from the terminators box. Some cutting, adjustments and greenstuff gave me a cool looking sergeant. The rest was assembled as by the instructions.

Olá pessoal!

 

Chegando ao final do projeto! Esse mês, a unidade escolhida foi a dos Terminators. Escolhi uma configuração de assalto primeiro porque eu ainda não tinha uma unidade dessas, e também porque a boa e velha pancadaria gratuita às vezes pode ser bem divertida. Imagino um cenário futurístico cheio de tecnologias e armas de fogo, mas de repente um blindado inimigo altamente protegido é aberto por golpes brutais de um martelo.

 

Escolhi os Terminators também pela possibilidade de entrarem em jogo por teletransporte, sendo posicionados atrás da linha inimiga e causando muita destruição. E em jogos onde o Deep Strike é proibido, eles contam com proteção suficiente para suportar a maior parte do tiro inimigo ilesos até chegaram onde precisam. Usei a opção de martelo e escudo, porque pretendo usá-los para derrubar tanto personagens como veículos.

 

O custo desse mês foi de R$180,00. Um pouco acima do estipulado, mas como mês passado o custo foi zero, então está tudo bem. A maior parte desse valor foi para a caixa dos terminators, mas também para adquirir o corpo de um Legion Praetor da Forge World. Esse modelo foi bastante convertido para aceitar os braços que vem na caixa de Terminators. Um pouco de corte, ajustes e greenstuff garantiram um sargento bem legal. O restante foi montado conforme as instruções.
