Sitting at the saloon, the sheriff of the small town known as “New Dawn” kept an eye on the whisky glass on the table while holding in his right hand the old Peacemaker. He had acquired the habit of releasing the drum, rolling it with his thumb and pulling it back inside with a twist of the hand and holstering the gun, all in a quick fluid movement. He’d do that over and over again while still keeping an eye on the cup of whisky.

He had managed to kick off the drinking habit years earlier, before New Dawn but after the episode that went down in history as the “Red Hook Massacre”, but he still enjoyed having a full glass on the table, like an old friend with whom you lose intimacy, but still quite can’t get away from. His thoughts, whatever they were, were interrupted by shouting coming from the street.

“Stay a while and listen”… yep I could begin today’s article quoting Deckard Cain’s famous words as I believe you’re about to join me in an incredible adventure after hearing reading what I have to say today. I’ve already drunk the Kool-Aid when it comes to Mantic Games’ newest project on Kickstarter, “Dungeon Saga: The Dwarf King’s Quest”, so you might as well join me in a quest for high adventure (cue in the “Anvil of Crom” theme).

Hello Reader.

Mantic Games. The name should sound familiar by now for anyone who’s into the hobby of collecting, painting and (or) playing miniature games and wargames as by now Mantic is the powerhouse behind not one, but six very successful crowdfunding campaigns on Kickstarter.

Kings of War; Dreadball; Deadzone; Loka (which is the pet project of Alessio Cavatore); Mars Attacks and Dreadball Xtreme have all proven to be very popular games which backed by thousands of gamers and miniature collectors all over the world have allowed the British company to amass the incredible combined sum of U$ 3.538.467,00 (three million five hundred and thirty eight thousand, four hundred and sixty seven dollars) through its crowdfunding campaigns and with plans for more game campaigns on Kickstarter soon, Mantic Games is eager to deliver more and they sure know how to please their fans, with lots of added value being the norm for their campaigns.

But those of you who have been in the hobby for a while longer might remember Mantic as the one time “Ugly Duckling” in the wargaming business.
